In January 1991 Nölke expands into Eastern Germany and purchases the former VEB Fleischverarbeitung Waren, which was founded in 1977. High investments in building and machines as well as a professional management were necessary to build up an up-to-date and competitive production site in Waren. The EC-authorization was received straight off. Under the name “Müritzer Fleisch- und Wurstwaren GmbH”, from now on the factory improved its reputation more and more; since 2004 renamed into “Heinrich Nölke GmbH & Co. KG Betrieb Waren/Müritz”. For a long time the „Müritzer“-products have been known not only in their own district - they gained an excellent reputation as regional sausage specialities.
The product range offers all from cooked meat products, sausages and snacks in tins up to soya-products, in which the sausages come to 60 per cent of the total assortment. And that has a good reason, because Nölke in Waren produces also the turkey sausages of the well-known brands “Gutfried” and “Gutfried Junior”. Also the popular Gutfried products Turkey-Liver sausage and Turkey-Bratwurst are produced here.
With an average production output of about 5,200 tons per annum, an annual turnover of about 21 million Euros and about 140 employees, Nölke in Waren/Müritz is one of the biggest employers of this region.
